Fellow classmates,
Thanks to you all for registering on the case70.com website - and for referring your friends here as well. The committee met (via Zoom) on April 20, 2020, and we decided to wait a little longer - until mid-May - before making a decision about delaying the reunion due to the COVID-19 crisis. In the meantime, hang tight and continue to let others know of the site's existence. If you haven't completed the surveys on the site, please do so. In addition to the questions on the delay of the reunion there is also an opportunity to write your own comments.
We are proud to have accounted for over half our class between those who have joined the site and those who have passed away. Tracking down so many classmates after so many years was a challenge and I believe getting to 50% is quite an achievement. Thanks to all who helped, especially Cheri Ehleiter Cuddeback and Joanne Kezman Marsch, our "detectives."
Stay safe everyone - you know we're in the high-risk category!

Fellow Classmates
The 1970 Class Reunion committee recently met and reluctantly made the decision to delay our reunion until next August 2021. This decision was made in recognition that holding a large gathering of people in a higher risk age group (sorry!) is not a safe situation. The thought that a joyous occasion might result in the illness or death of fellow classmates is disturbing. Also, many classmates who live out of the immediate area are unlikely to want to travel this summer with all the uncertainty.
These are the two opportunities to meet (we may add more):
Over the next several months, we encourage you to continue to visit the case70.com website, add photos and memories, help us track down “missing” classmates, and encourage others to join.
While we thought we were celebrating 50 years, we are planning a great party for our 51st year! Plan to be there!
CELEBRATING THE CLASS OF 2020:
50 years ago our commencement was special to us – but very traditional. Many of us have been thinking about the Class of 2020 – what has their experience been like? To honor the Class of 2020, we invite you to consider these two events:
https://graduatetogether2020.com/about Graduate Together: America Honors the Class of 2020 will air simultaneously across ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC, as well as a broad alliance of social media and streaming platforms. The one-hour primetime special airs on Saturday, May 16, 7 pm Central, and will honor the more than 3 million high school seniors across the country.
Artists, athletes, musicians, commencement speakers, influencers, and cultural icons will show their support with performances and messages featuring students, teachers, and their families from coast to coast.
“Dear Class of 2020” is a virtual commencement celebration bringing together inspirational leaders, celebrities, and YouTube creators to celebrate graduates, their families, and their communities.
Featuring former President Barack Obama, Lady Gaga, Condoleeza Rice, and many others.

I just posted scanned pages from the yearbook so if you didn't keep yours, have no fear! Thanks to Kevin Wentzel for contributing the scans. (Sorry they're not in alphabetical order - haven't figured that out yet!)

Wow, we've got over ONE HUNDRED registered on this website now and it's only been active for about a month. We're looking for many more classmates so please scan the "missing" list and see if you know anyone on that list. Call them, email them, visit them, message them, send a "snail mail" letter, send a carrier pigeon... whatever it takes to get more of our classmates to join. Lets see how fast we can get a hundred more!
(seems appropriate for me to post an announcement, Kevin )
