I graduated from UW-Madison with an English degree and worked as a children's book editor for Western Publishing until they left Racine. Moved to Eau Claire, married and had one child, Mathew, while working for UW Stout and then UW Eau Claire in their departments of Heath and Human Services. We kept a boat on Lake Superior and those are some of the most vivid, exhilarating and sometimes harrowing memories I have. Harry, Matt and I all loved the big water and in 2001, we moved to Port Charlotte Florida with for the warmth and the boating on the Gulf coast. Happily divorced in 2004, my boating - other than kayaking- ended.
I was computer specialist for the Charlotte County School District until 2013 when I retired due to a major disabling illness. Currently I live in a long term health facility in Port Charlotte.

I enjoyed being on the school newspaper and appreciated the mentoring of Bob Frahm who was the advisor. He encouraged my writing and my plans for my future. I also enjoyed the chess club and computer class even though I was the only girl in the class. It sparked my interest in computers and eventually became my career.
