School Story

I remember the first day girls were allowed to wear pants to school. But it had to be a pantsuit, no jeans allowed back then. I think it was 1968 .... ?

I remember my first car - a 1963 VW Bug that my father rebuilt with a kit. It was orange and had a top speed of around 50 mph. Lol My dad was not a very good mechanic!h
After graduation I was asked to work in the JI CASE HS math department, and stayed for 2 or 3 years, until the first teachers strike. I was layed off (no pay). I was hired by SC Johnson; The best change of career of my life!

I first met Nancy in 4th grade at Mygatts Corner School, which was at  SE corner of Hwy 31 and Hwy 20. We became quick friends. We went separate directions in Jr High. I will always remember Nancy as a very kind and friendly person

I’m sorry to hear that Jean has passed away. She and I were friends since Starbuck. We had not been in touch for a long while. It’s been hard for me to keep up with my school friends since I’ve moved to Canada. May she rest in peace???
